    Default Vista Problem

Don't know why, think I'd sort of forgotten about it for a bit, but today I realised that my windows should be fading in and out when I click on them, but for some reason they're not, and I've completely forgotten when this started. I'm running Vista Home Premium on a 9600GT, so it's definitely not my graphics card not being good enough, and I've also checked I have the latest drivers for it, anyone know what could be wrong here?

    Any suggestions welcome,

    Thanks,

    Jack.

It could be your "theme" settings. Can't remember how to do it off the top of my head, but can check when I go in to work tomorrow (on my home XP machines now).

    Hope this helps nonetheless.

Thanks for the reply, but what part of the theme settings? When I go on it all I can do is select a theme. The current theme selected is "Windows Vista", should Aero be in there or what?

If I recall correctly, Aero should be the one selected. Or you could modify the display settings in the control panel. I can't remember exactly where it is, but you should be able to modify the theme settings and choose what features you want.

    Hope this helps.

Well there is a bit in Control Panel --> Performance Information and Tools --> Adjust visual effects, and in there are all the things you can customize in Aero, but all of them are checked, so that's why I'm confused as to why it's not working
