what is the best way to make activation page for my modules from my admin cpael

Hi,

From the front end let users register but keep a status field to track activation and by default it should be set as inactive and then in admin panel you can have a module to list all the registrations with status inactive and with each such record listed there should be a link called activate which when clicked will change the status to active of that particular record and if you want you can also send an email to the user notifying about the activation of their account.
