i want to ask that , can we set a global variable so that 2 html page can refer to..if yes,then how & where to declare it.
like 2 web pages using 'x',so change of value of 'x' only once can be seen in 2 webpages..

Not in HTML, no.
You can include an ECMAScript, or, better still, use a server-side language or SSI (Server-Side Includes).
