    Default execute php

    I found this code on a site a while back. It's similar to what i want but not quite also i dont know if its possible. I have a php page but i want an if statment once the submit is clicked i want it to run the php but if the submit is not clicked i don't want it to run. This isn't php forwarding to another php to verify.
    This is the code that is similiar:
    Code:
      <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
         function verifyMe(element)
    	   {
    	      if(document.getElementsByTagName("input")[0].value!=""){
    		     element.action ="http://www.google.com/search";
    			 element.submit();
    		   }
    		  else alert("Please enter a quary");
    	   }
      </script>

    I tried this at the start of my php but then realized it wasn't waiting for the submit to be hit it was just saying enter required fields and wouldn't go any further. I'm not sure how that java works above but would appreciate and help you can offer.
    PHP Code:
    if (empty($denim) || empty($age) || empty($lifestyle)) {
    die (
    'Please Enter all required fields.');}
    Also if i think its similiar to that code above with the else sending the enter required fields can i put php withing java script?

    Thanks

    PHP Code:
    <?php
    if(isset($_METHOD['name_of_the_submit_button'])) // Change method with either post/get. Should match on form's action.

    {
        if (empty(
    $denim) || empty($age) || empty($lifestyle))
            die (
    'Please Enter all required fields.');

    That's not working it's still going through the else. Dont know if i put it in wrong? Here's how I added it with all of the html as well.

    PHP Code:
    <?php
    $name
    =  $_POST['name'];
    $denim =  $_POST['denim'];
    $age =  $_POST['age'];
    $lifestyle $_POST['lifestyle'];
    //check if required fields have data
    if (isset($_POST['newad'])) {
       if (empty(
    $denim) || empty($age) || empty($lifestyle))
           die (
    'Please Enter all required fields.<form name="newad" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data"  action="">
    Name:<br /><input name="name" type="text" />
    <br />Age:*<br /><input name="age" type="text" />
    <br />Denim*:<br /><input name="denim" type="text" />
    <br />Lifestyle:*<br /><input name="lifestyle" type="text" /><br />
    <input type="file" name="image[]" /><br />
    <input type="file" name="image[]" /><br />
    <input type="file" name="image[]" /><br />
    <input name="Submit" type="submit" value="Upload images" />
      </form>
    </body>
    </html>
    '
    );
        }
