Fading Message Scroller isn't fading all text content

3) Describe problem: only fading top portion of content text. I've used inline styles to color other text in text area, but anything that I've stylized isn't fading.

That's normal, since the script merely manipulates the default text color within the scroller container. What you need is probably a script that actually fades the content within its container, such as Featured Content Slider. You can turn that script into a pure scroller just by removing the pagination links.
