    Default Classic Rocks Bands

What is your favorite classic rock band?
Mine=Duran Duran, don't know why but I love em, I think its because that's all my mom listened to while I was a kid. They just released a new DVD chronicling their album Rio, has anyone seen it? I saw a clip, it looks pretty good.

Here's the link to the clip:

Mine is Mussorgski, but that's not a band.
Anyway, listen to this. Heavier than heavy metal, man! Witches all over the place (flying around the top of the Bare Mountain)!

    Yeah:

St. John's Night on the Bare Mountain

Anyways, I always liked Mussorgsky/Mussorgski, and many of the Russian Classical composers, as well as many other Classical composers.

The amazing thing (to me) and that I think too few realize is that when most of these folks who many of us now consider stodgy and/or old fashioned were making their music, it was cutting edge. The fact that anyone is interested in it today means that it was also technically brilliant.

So too with much, but not all of the music of recent times.

Class rock for me would be Eric Clapton; Cream. Really love that stuff.
