Talking Mouseover Tabs Menu - Changing onmouseout behavior

    1) Script Title: Mouseover Tabs Menu

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...seovertabs.htm

    3) Describe problem: I'd like to change the onmouseout behavior. Right now there are two choices. The first choice is to have the lower menu disappear. The second choice, is to have the lower menu remain on the last thing it hovered over. The problem is, if you want the page to match the navigation (upper and lower), you don't want either of these behaviors. You want the mouseout behavior to simply revert to it's original state.

Any help appreciated. Willing to pay for modified working script.

Do you mean so when the user mouses out of the menu, the default selected tab and its sub contents is shown again (instead of either a blank sub content or the last mouse overed tab's sub content)?

Yes, yes, exactly. For example, if the page was originally launched by clicking on:
    individual_therapy.php?mytabsmenu=services

Then I want it to go back to that once the mouse has moved out of the menu area. So that the navigation once again matches the page contents.

And thank you so much for your quick attention!

Try the below modified mouseovertabs.js file for a basic version of such a behavior.

The only limitation of the above change is that the menu only snaps back to the default selected one when the user mouses out of the sub menu area, not the main tabs themselves however. That's quite a bit more complex to do, and unfortunately I'm super busy right now. Hopefully what I have posted will do, or if not, you may want to consider posting a paid request in the appropriate forum.

BTW, for a tab menu with your requested behavior built in by default, see DD Tab Menu: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/ddtabmenu.htm

Thank you very, very much for the new script and the link to DD Tab Menu- is there a place I can make a donation to you - I really want to express my appreciation.

You're welcome. At some point I may start accepting donations, but until then, please just make a small donation to Red Cross instead.
