Website Building Using Empty Containers

Hello,

If anyone could offer some advice on the following, it would SINCERELY be appreciated.

A few months back I took a Flash class in which a demonstration was giving using empty containers to build a Website. I recall creating a home page with the empty container. The links on the home page referenced other files/movies which then loaded into the empty container.

Now, I have the time and the opportunity to use this technique. Unfortunately, I cannot find any information about this online. If anyone has any information or could recommend a book with this technique, I would truly appreciate your help.
