Default My Fire FTP Isn't Working Properly. What's Wrong?

I'm having problems uploading images for my site. Some images are not showing up on my web page. In the HTML code, the file names are correct, they're all pointing to the correct directory, but some images are just not showing up on the page. I tried overwriting the images, but that didn't work. You would think that there's a broken link but I named all the files correctly in the HTML. I tried switching the mode of transfer from ASCII to Binary to Automatic - none have them upload the images properly. Certain files are only showing in certain modes. What might the problem be? I uninstalled FireFTP but I reinstalled it and I'm still having the same problems. Is there a way to reset the settings of the FTP? What can I do? Let me know if you need the page where the images are located (if that helps). Thanks.

The page may be set to 111 CHMOD. Double check that. Try sending us the page too if you can.
    I hope this helps,

Thank you for the reply. Here is the page: http://americanchic.net/guccipvcbaggucciwallet What is CHMOD? Also, I found out that the problem might have to deal with the way I'm saving the files with Photoshop CS (the oldest version of Photoshop, which I think might also have something to do with it).

As a note I can get all your images to load just need to refresh the page many, many, many times till they all show up and are cached in the browser, I think maybe somin wrong with your host server. I would maybe look into getting a better host or give it time they maybe having problems with requests for the files.

I think it's some of your images. There is some funky things happening; I downloaded wallet2 and the file was corrupted. Both ie and ff are missing images. Why do you have two times both.jpg?

Hi, I have a question - I'm new to fire ftp and I'm wondering how to get images from it. For example, in a blog post.
At work, when I insert an image from our ftp I use: <img src ="http://website/images/imagename.jpg">
Where do I get that address from fire ftp?
    Thanks for your help.

Also, it's a Wordpress blog, so I have the image in the folder www/images.

"Where do I get that address from fire ftp?" <--- what do you mean by address? What are you trying to do exactly? Are you trying to figure out exactly where in the websites directory those particular images are located?

    Default same problem

I have the same issue. Images not sending properly. I thought it may have been the server, so i tried sending my images using FireFtp onto a different server, and had the same problem. The images would either not show up, or would be all distorted. Something, somewhere was corrupting the files.

So I used filezilla to send the same unchanged images to that secondary server, and the images uploaded perfectly without any problems. Now, I would simply just use filezilla on my first server to send the images, but I cannot because i was relying on fireftp to remember the passwords and the like. I do not have access to this server unless I use fireftp, and I can't pull the password out of Fireftp.

The problem has got to be in the way Fire FTP is sending images. They are coming out corrupted for some reason.

    Default Solution

I was having the same problem. The problem was in the FireFTP settings.

    The Solution
Open FireFTP, go to tools > options.
Under the download/upload tab, change the first setting to Automatic Mode.
