    Default Contentslider bug with doctype

    1) Script Title: Featured Content Slider v2.4

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...tentslider.htm

    3) Describe problem:

Since i added a doctype to my new project the contentslider is a bit buggy.

    http://www.final-power.de/cause/index.php?site=news

When you look on the right side to "CAUSE.TEAM" and select one of the small grey boxes near the pictures you can switch between the team photos. But instead of making a nice fade effect it just adds a second contentslider thingy below. After the fade effect should be over everything is normal again.

Everything worked without doctype.. but i think i should better use a doctype for such a project

Does someone got an idea about my problem?

    Cheers,
    Paddel

A valid doctype actually is preferred when using this script. The DD demo page for example has a valid doctype. It's hard to tell just looking at your page's source what the issue might be, since there's a lot going on. But it's most likely an issue with something in your layout in general that pops up when a valid doctype is added, in turn affecting the script.

Try starting out with a fresh blank page with just the script in it, then slowly add back portions of your page to isolate what the culprit is.

Okay i just took the example script on your page and tried it again: http://www.final-power.de/cause/test2.php

That seems quite confusing because i used nothing from my page, it's just your example, the standard "contentslider.js" and no other includes.. Just a blank page with the doctype recommended on your contentslider-page.

    :/

    Edit:
okay nevermind, seems like my .css file was corrupted
