need a blog
Hello everyone,
I'm not even sure if what I want exist. I don't know HTML or any other programming and my website is fully build in WYSIWYG 5.5. As I want to add the blog I was hoping that there is a script that can be implemented into my web building software. I did it with my contact form so I hope I can do the same with blog. This way I can easily manage all the side panels, my menu buttons and the rest. My hosting supports all the stuff which is needed for scripts and databases.
And please - no wordpress - I hate that damn thing - we don't match each other.
I hope there is someone in here who can answer my question as stupid as it may be without abusing me as it happened on other forums. Please keep in mind that not everyone has a knowledge others do.

What software are you using to operate your current site?

I use WYSIWYG 5.5 to design it, build in FTP for uploading, my server supports everything as far as I know. I have cPanel with Fantastico, php, mySQL and more of other stuff. I hope that answers your questions

As far as I know, fantastico offers a blogging solution. You might want to check that out in your Cpanel. Other than that I'm honestly not sure. I love wordpress and think that it might really be your best bet. I know you dont like it but it can be integrated into your site very well.
If you really want to stay away from it you might want to look into Serendipity I've used serendipity before and its pretty reliable. The only problem is that you wont be able to set it up if you don't have any coding knowledge. At least i dont think you'll be able to.

I do have someone who can install it for me. I hate wordpress as I can't find my way around it. It's not really wysiwyg editor. I keep changing my website sometimes 3 times a day and with wordpress it would be a nightmare for me.
Fantastico got 3 scripts for blog including wordpress but they all have their own skins and as I cannot modify them to use my template I would have to hire someone everytime I launch a new domain
I would settle for anything running even on the server as long as it would be user friendly or should I call it idiotproof. When I want to add HTML like adsense to my website or affiliate link I want to see "insert html" button - not widget or plugin. Just plain english. Even looking through help page on wordpress I lost my patience when I went through 6 pages to finally get to what I search for in the first place.
I found something called Bloginator and it sounds like what I want from the description but I'm not sure LOL

Oh - so you want an entire site run like that. Not just a blog section.
I see.
Well - unfortunately the only thing i can think of would be wordpress or Drupal.
I prefer wordpress by far. It is easy to find your way around the backend once you get the hang of it and it has tons of plugins including the types of editors that your looking for.
I know your opposed to it, but thats the only thing i can really think of.

I'm not opposed LOL I'm just frustrated.
Until 2 weeks ago I didn't know anything about the website building. Now I have it life and indexed with adwords and adsense. I installed the database on mySQL and my php script for my contact form and I can edit code through my cpanel.
But I just spend 3 hours on my newly installed wordpress trying to get some sidebars, additional buttons and all what I achieved was shaking hands and grey hair. I think we are just not compatible with each other

I hear ya - when i started with wordpress it took a LONG time to get it up and functioning how i wanted it to. Now im glad i went through with it because I love it and use it for many client's sites. Maybe you just need someone to help you out a little bit and show you the basics (as far as the development goes). If you have an instant messaging program I'd be more than happy to help you with a few things.
