    Default Dual Booting Linux/Windows

    Hello all,

I had installed Linux on my PC to be able to dual boot Windows or Linux. The problem is that I had to reinstall Windows and now I can't get to my Linux. It still shows the partition I split for it and everything I just don't know how to access it. If anyone knows how to do this or has a had a similar problem all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Most likely, you've overwritten your bootloader. Boot up your Linux install CD in rescue or live-CD mode, and execute grub-install /dev/$hd where /dev/$hd is your primary hard drive.
