please help me to do mask in flash...

Hi my Masters,

I have just started using flash 8 for 2 months, I found drawing by pen in flash is very difficult to enclose between beginning and end point.

I'm making online email for HP. At intro, there's an object run from left to right behind the forground object which is embedded on background. So I'm trying to solve by drawing mask with pen into layer which is over the animated object. but still not be able to accomplish. It's so hard to draw by pen in flash.

Can I draw mask from illustrator or making mask from photoshop instead? Please suggest me to do that...
