tooltip

i have a catalog in frontpage.
every article has a number.
now i want an info box to open when the mouse hovers over the number and close when leaving the number.
i have found a few code's in this forum (Image w/ description tooltip) but i want a diferent text in every box , so it must be as simple as possible ( i have a lot of numbers) and the text must be easy to change.

i was thinking to make a txt file for every number , and let the code show the text file in a box.
