separate link and folderimage to expand

3) Describe problem:
we are using this to generate photo gallery categories through php

suppose we have
folderimage newsphotos
sub cat 1
sub cat 2

now the news category itself may have some images in it...so what we want is
when

folderimage is clicked the sub categories should open
and when that news (title) is clicked user should be taken to photos of that category...

the problem now is both folder image and title is taken as one link...we want to separate it

now every head inside li is taken as link to expand ...so we folderimage only to be link to expand subcategories...

any help
we think we need to change js file...
