    Default Cheap webhosting

I'm currently using dreamhost, its cheap and it provides me with a lot of server space/bandwidth, mySQL, a free domain name for around $50 a year. However, dreamhst sucks with communication, upload speeds when I am out of the US really really sucks (I travel a lot), sometimes its not really reliable.

Is there any other webhost out there that can best dreamhost for a max budget $50?

    Thanks,
    John

I usually recommend Ipower. They own quite a few hosting properties, so you would definitely have choices. They're cheap too.

You may also want to look at Site5. I've hosted with them before, and overall, a good quality host with some very affordable plans.

I always recommend Godaddy.com they have tons of extras and pretty low prices, plus great up time.

Well, GoDaddy is first and foremost a domain registrar. Web hosting is simply a secondary part of their business. Personally I'd never register my domain and host my site at the same company- why not diversify I say.

I actually DO host AND register the domain via the same company... simply because the company I host through offers a pretty sweet deal on domain registration! LOL

No comments on bluehost? when it first came out it got a lot of hype thats why I'm looking into them.

I also got a lot of recommendations on hostgator.
