    Default Subdomain making

I need a script to allow the visitor to create a sub domain within my site with the following things:

    1) while chosing the subdomain the system will search for existing sub domain names and if its not matched then only it will aloow to go ahead (thats normal case I guess)

    2) The index page should be a default page which I chose
    3) He can upload 2-3 files only

Can anybody tell me how to do it???

    TIA

    Hi Pankaj...

That isn't something you can do with a simple script. There are server-side ways to do this. But, you should check with your host first. If this is allowed under their TOS, they'll be able to help you. You'll need root access to the server so that you can manipulate some of the DNS settings. You'll want to add a wildcard to the DNS essentially.

I don't think Medyman meant check to see if you're allowed to create subdomains, but if you're allowed to allow other people to make subdomains on your account. If you are, then they can tell you how, and probably better than any of us could.
Medyman, did I understand you correctly?
