Need To Freeze Screen And Show Please Wait

I need to freeze the screen, possibly darken the screen and show a please wait image (whilst Ajax request processes.)

Any ideas where I can get a script?

That should be enough, with one of those frameworks, you should be able to create the simple thing you request.
Note: Don't use more then one, it could cause script conflicts.
