    Talking hard drive browser

    http://javascript.internet.com/navig...e-browser.html

This only works if the html is place on the harddrive and not with a htm online!
Why won't this work now in IE online (used to work)? Is it possible to make it work again?

    Can it work in FF?

The Web and your computer are drastically different security environments. Providing remote access to the file system is (potentially) a massive risk.

    (used to work)?
Personally, I'd be worried if it did.

    No (that's a good thing).

it's a pitty, because it is actually fun... not real use I think, but would be fun... almost as fun as that open/close CD drive script... with new IE does not work. :P bah, where is the sense of humor? ehehhe

Lol. Unfortunately, not everyone would stop at opening and closing the victim's CD drive.

I know, even nowadays, pr0n and serial sites are the worst with IE. You'll get a free trojan for sure. (MS should pay them for debugging their programs lol)

    Yes indeed
    Mostly due to ActiveX.
