Default DHTML Window Widget CSS Issue, Help!

    1) Script Title: DHTML Window Widget v.1.1

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex8/dhtmlwindow/

    3) Describe problem: I am attempting to have a window widget up on my site when the page loads using recal. It is loading another page from my site, "news.html." I am using the Ajax method to do this but, when it loads the page, the CSS looks fine on Firefox but is completely nonexistent in IE and Safari. I have not tested other browsers from this point.

I have created a test html file to illustrate what I am talking about: http://www.imightbealright.com/imba/test.htm

and this is the page that I am trying to get the widget to load properly in IE and Safari: http://www.imightbealright.com/imba/news.htm

if you view that news page on its own in IE, it works fine...but not when it's loaded in test.htm. So what gives?

If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate. This is essentially the piece of my site that I'm trying to get all wrapped up here.

    Thanks in advance!

Pages fetched via Ajax should they contain CSS or JavaScript within it in many cases won't render correctly when brought over this way. Ajax basically copies the contents of the external file similar to copying plain text and just dumps it onto the main page. Browsers don't know to interpret scripts or even CSS (such as IE) within that copied content.

The only way to overcome this problem is to use the IFRAME mode of the script instead to show this particular content.
