create "active" image link on slideshow

The simplest way to describe what I'd like to do is just point you guys to cinemanow.com. Do you see how, under their main banner, they have those 5 small boxes? Basically, you click on them and it rotates the image.

I was able to recreate everything from cinemanow's thing, except getting the "active" box to pull a different image. Again, to use them as a reference, normally the boxes are gray, but the active one is red.

This is my first foray into javascript, so I really am at a loss.
