Graphical select list

I need something like a select list, but it should not drop down. I know I can do this with a normal HTML select list, but I want it much more graphical so I can change the background of the selected one when you select it, and other stuff. Sorry if that was explained wrong. Thanks

Are you asking for code, or do you want a suggestion? Well, I will give you a suggestion as a default:

Okay: first of all, you shouldn't make a select LIST as in html. You should probably use paint.NET to make some backgrounds for the select list. After you have gotten that figured out, basically you will want to make some general JavaScript functions for the drop-down select box.
