Please help a total newbie!!

Hi this is my first post so first things first, Hello my name is Dave.

Right now I'm having a bit of a problem with my website www.businessfederationsgroup.com

This website was created by me but the coding done by a friend I don't really speak to anymore.
Right on the "find a tradesperson" part of the website it is read from an access database and the results are displayed on the site.

Now I want to add a Search function but haven't a clue where to start, Any help would be appreciated. But please assume I know absolutley nothing so please explain fully.
