AXAX/RSS/XML Media Center

I want to create a media center that displays news channels (News/PR, Events, Webinars) on its own page. This 'media center' should be RSS subscribe able and snippets will display in the individual tabs (using dynamic drive ajax tabs).

What im looking for is a content management system or script where admin can enter a news or event item and have it display on the page, like a blog. I'd rather it use AJAX/XML, not PHP (at least on the front end -for seo puproses)

I thought about using Wordpress then developing a simple news widget for each page/tab, and use WP as the CMS. However, when you click a "More" link, it should go to the right page, not WP.

Is there a better way to do this?
