3) Describe problem: Highlight specific menu-item when clicking sub-pages

I would like a custom menu item to be highlighted when clicking a sub-page of a menu-item.
For example: in my menu I have the item "Videos". Now, when I click on it the main page of the videos opens and in the sdmenu the "Videos"-item gets highlighted. Now when I click on a certain video, it opens that video, but this is another page, so the "Videos"-menu-item is not highlighted anymore. But I still want it to stay highlighted.

So basically my question is: is there some code I can add to a page that highlights a specific menu item? So something like "myMenu.expandMenu(myMenu.submenus[2]);" which will expand menu 2, but for highlighting a menu instead of expanding.
