I need a Download counter

Was wonder if anyone point me in the direction of a good download counter? I have a button on my site that allows users to download a file but I want to tack how many times it is downloaded. The trick is I want to have the information sent to another page where users can't see it. I don't need to protect it but just not post it in the site where people can find it by snooping around.

I think I remembered seeing one on hotscripts... just go to the site and search for it, I'm almost positive that's where I saw it
