scenes -pros and cons

I have heard alot of talk about scenes falling out of favor but I am concidering using them as an alternative to some rough spots I have encountered managing swfs.


can anyone present pros and cons and some general reasons for using them if they still have a place.

I have never used them personally.

I can't offer an advice to the pro, as I've never used them. They make sense in timeline-driven, animation heavy flash projects. But, the more you start to do things dynamically and problematically, it can get complicated to control when certain assets are available.

So, it's not necessarily a wrong way of doing it, just can get messy (IMO).
