Default Pausing RSS Scroller - Feeds Problem

    1) Script Title: Pausing RSS Scroller

    2) Script URL (on DD):

    3) Describe problem:

    Hi all,

I have successfully setup and run the demo version of this script on my site using the default feeds.

My site is a community forum for a certain area in the UK, as such, i'm trying to get the local news displaying as an RSS feed from the local newspaper's website.

So once the demo was up and running, i decided to change the feeds to make sure the local feeds were working before i customised it at all.

The local feeds i replaced in the scrollerbridge.php are:

When I replaced the URL's i refreshed the demo.htm page and receive the following:

Sorry: It's not possible to reach RSS file
I give up trying to fetch RSS feed.

I figure this must be something to do with the format of the feeds, now when I try to open the feed URL's in IE7 i get the following error:

Feeds with DTD's are not supported

    And in Firefox 3

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it.

However, and this is a relatively large point, when I run it at home on my web server (within the my site template) it works! I'm really rather baffled by this, any help would be very, very much appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.

Just to clarify, on your server (not localhost), you were able to get some RSS feeds to work, just not the above two (jpress)? This would at least rule out your server not being able to run the Pausing RSS Scroller script period. Please post a link to the page on your site that contains the problematic script so we can check it out.
