CSS Image Gallery -- text align query.

Two quick questions:

1. How do I have the text appear to the 'right' of the large picture (as opposed to underneath)?

2. Is there a way to have the large image linger until the next one is activated, OR, have a place holder image remain in place? As it stands, the area is blank until something is activated.

-- OK, I put a placeholder image in another div, and positioned it over the current one (which works), but ideally, I'd love just to see the large image linger until another is activated (preferably with onClick). Is any of this possible? Another script maybe?
