The problem with any solution is though, there is no real way of knowing how someone got to that particular page. It is all based upon a guess of what is most likely, coupled with a knowledge of the site's directory and/or page structure.

How helpful. What is boring to you may be fascinating to others. In any case, it is the fact of the matter. I only mentioned it because many people imagine that a breadcrumb script can somehow read the minds of people, know where they've been, that sort of thing. It cannot.
