I saw an interview once with the developers of that. I don't remember where it was or the content of it, really. It's obvious that that website is making heavy, heavy, heavy use of the drawing API to get the color match to be correct.

The images are parsed from RSS feeds through whatever filters and sources that they have set up.

Then, they're using some sort of 3D engine for the small angle manipulation going on.

Construction wise, it's really not that complicated. The shape and tweens, from what I can tell anyway, aren't dynamically generated, so that makes it easier to construct.

What you basically have is a bunch of blank containers (in the shape of the shoe). The real coding is in how to fill those containers with data.

No. There is practically no market for a template-version of this. If you want something like that, your best bet is to hire a developer to create a custom version for you.
