Flash Program

Hi all,

I'm looking to find a cheap program for creating flash. I am currently designing a website and am interesting in making some flash for it. I'm trying not to spend too much money but, I'm pretty new at this flash stuff. Are there any - not so expensive flash creation programs out there to create a flash page and or little gadgets to add to a page?

Some have found Swish to be useful. I don't use any of the "imitator" software, so I can't comment on personal experience.

Of course the only application that lets you take full advantage of is Adobe Flash. There is a 30-day free trial on Adobe's website that you can try out (I believe the free trials are suspended until July 1 b/c of a bug that makes all trials expire on June 1). Perhaps there will be other applications now that Adobe has open sourced the .flv and .swf formats.
