3) Describe problem: It says that this script is cross browser compatible but I can only get it to work in IE. Is there something I need to change to get it to work in other browsers? firefox, opera, etc.

Well, it's only rated for IE and FF. Also, it looks like to me that in FF it requires quirks mode. Why not try the more up to date:
