Question Using "DHTML Modal window v1.1" with frames

    1) Script Title: DHTML Modal window v1.1

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...dhtmlmodal.htm

    3) Describe problem:
    Hi,

The script is working fine on a single webpage with the veil overlapping the current page.

However, if my website is developed using frames, then only the calling page in that frame is veiled. I.e. There are 3 frames in my website (topFrame, menuFrame, bodyFrame). bodyFrame loads the DHTML Modal window using the script above. The veil overlaps only the bodyFrame.

Qn: How can I make the veil overlap the entire website instead? i.e. Overlap all 3 frames.

    Can anyone help?
    Thank you in advance.

    Cheers,
    Kevin

There's no way to do this unfortunately. Each frame is basically a separate window to the browser, and there's no way for any layers in one of the frames to cross over that boundary.

Has anyone found a work-around for this issue since it was posted in '08? If so, could you point me in the right direction or thread?
