Changing images with out reloading.

I'm looking to build a designer that allows you to select different options, and will then send out your selected options through a form.

For example, say I wanted the user to select their favorite fruit. I want to have a picture of an Apple, and arrows to the right and left, that will change the fruit when clicked.

A fairly simple thing, that I can not figure out for the life of me. Thanks everyone.
