ummm..new to all this...i have a 7600gt with dual monitor outs. i have an acer x243w screen and want to get another to extend onto...does the second screen have to be the same resolution as well as size or can it differ?

also when playing games will they go across both or just on one so i can have other stuff running at the same time?

Sizes can certainly differ, though I don't know your specific system to guarantee that.
It really depends on the program you're using. A lot of programs don't go across the screens very well, no. But some do.
