common database sharing?

I am eager to know , can 2 websites share same database?
That means can these 2 websites add/edit/update/delete the same table of that database?
Please share views,examples or resources on this topic.

Thought I'd jump in and give you a quick answer. Yes, 2 websites can definitely use a single database. Consider businesses that run affiliate sites that sell from the same common product DB. Someone else in this forum might be better suited to define the required relationships syntatically, but you can definitely do it.
