    Default Xara Drop-Down menu

    Hi Folks:

I design websites using Xara Drop-Down(DD) menus. But I am looking into other affordable Drop-Down menus to use for new projects. I have done my own search, but I am more interested to find the exact DD used in the website below as required by my new customer.

Also, while on that link, can somebody tell or help me with the type of image gallery effects used at the top left photos of smilling people?:

    Thanks.

Most people don't use those kinds of software to design menus. Most people hand code them (or get them from sites like Dynamic Drive...which are still handcoded). I doubt you'll be able to find a source for that exact menu. The designer of that site probably made it himself.

Anyway, that menu is made with Flash (something that I don't recommend doing by the way for accessibility reasons). That image slideshow is also all Flash. I've seen those generic effects before so I'm willing to bet that it's probably some sort of cheap component available on the web.

Thank you so much for your explanations. Yes I thought it must be all flash which I don't recommend either.

How about the picture effect? Any suggestions on that?

I usually create my own when I need to make one. Flash is kind of my forte.

The only Flash slideshow component that I can recommend is SlideShowPro. There are other ones available on the net, though I generally find them to be hackish and lack the technical proficiency of SlideShowPro.

    Medyman:

Thank you for your valuable assistance with slideshowpro. It is really nice. But I am looking for the type to give snow effects and other characteristics.

Thanks as I keep searching for the effects I am looking for.

I've used this menu in the past. Pretty powerful.
