Fixed Tooltip Script as an external js file

I use Fixed Tooltip Script a lot, and it's great. I'd like to put the bulk of it in an external javascript file, but simply moving everything from the "//No further editting needed" line down doesn't work. Can someone tell me what changes need to be made to use the script in an external file?

I don't know about that, but you can also use a different tooltip, such as:
