    Default Image on Browser Tab

    Hi all,

    Anyone have any clue how certain websites can put their logo on the browser tab? It seems like it's on the same line as the "Page title"

    For example, Dynamic Drive had the green d, and Google has their blue G, and other places can put small images.

    I'd love to put my logo there, but I have no idea how. Any clues?

    put this in your head:

    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="Images/favicon.ico">

    and change the href to your icon, it has to be a .ico extension and no bigger than 16 x 16

    and it has to be called favicon

    It may not take effect right away. It may take a few minutes of refreshing to work.

    or up to 72 hours for Internet Explorer. Firefox picks it up right away though.
