I currently have a java script that shows thumbnails of images and then displays them in a larger view if the user mouses over each thumbnail. I am having a problem where if I have images that are shot vertically the images only show the top part and scroll bars are displayed. I want to be able to scale the picture down so it fits in a designated size area so no scroll bars are shown. The picture will look much smaller then a horizontally shot picture but it will present better on web.
