Typing Scroller different in IE to FF

Typing Scroller

If I use this script in a cell within a table IE makes it appears as if there is a blank line underneath the scrolling text whilst FF it appears ok.
If I increase the cell / row height IE displays the typing scroller at the top of the cell whilst FF it appears in the center VALIGN does not appear to make a difference.

Just want the IE and FF to appear the same.

Can anyone help because I think this website is great and the people that write back seem to genuinely help each other - (PS I am new at Java scripting, I did originally have this code in an external script but it had the same results)

In the script, add to this line as shown (red):
