Script - Typing Text

Hi. I am basically an illiterate when it comes to webpage creation, but your scripts have made me feel like a genius, in my own mind anyway. I pieced together a bunch of your scripts to make several webapges.

Anyway, I SHOULD know how to do this but I don't. I have a scrolling text message on the top of my front page and I don't want it to repeat everytime someone flips back and forth from a subpage to the home page. Can you tell me how to turn it off? Thanks
