Default How to backup everything on windows XP include all applications?

My laptop is Thinkpad T61p. Thinkpad do not give you windows xp disk when you purchase the laptop, unless you want to pay extra 40 dollars.

I play with linux stuff alot... so, reinstall system is pretty much like routine thing... So, I'm wondering is there a way to backup everything on windowsXP include all applications, drivers, data, etc?

Better to make a disc image than manually copying the files-- you're likely to lose system info that way (and application settings).

You could use Ghost to make a hard drive image, then save it on an external HD. Then just use the provided Restore CD to restore the image to your hard drive whenever.
