Default General Question About JavaScript and XHTML Validation

    I have been studying Javascript and have a 2007 book. I am starting to get the hang of it but I am still finding though the scripts work fine in all browsers they are not validating in XHTML

    I solve most of the problem by putting the javascript in a link and connecting it but my general question is are there any sites that can help me with the most common problem when using JS and validating for XHTML strict.

    Thanks for any suggestions

    XHTML is not supported by Internet Explorer, if you have the following line in your head script tag
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
    IE will validate the page, however you are parsing it as content="text/html" thus it's really just a false positive validation

    if you have questions about a particular script not validating we can try to help out. We would prefer you to post the site URL, however if its not live on the web, you can post the code using the
