mouseovers

Hello. I am using the Switch Menu II script and I'm remaking it to look like the actual Windows XP menu's in folder view to the left. I made 4 images, 2 of the arrow pointing downward, and 2 pointing upward. How can i put 2 mouseovers and have it so that when I click on the image, it will switch over to an up arrow? if you're confused by what im saying, just tell me and i'll post again in more detail.

I'm confused. Along with more explanation, a link to a demo of what you have so far would help. Also, onclick and onmouseover are two different events.
