Default Cross Browser marquee II - IE issues

    1) Script Title:
    Cross Browser marquee II

    2) Script URL (on DD):
    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex2/cmarquee2.htm

    3) Describe problem:
I stuck the above mentioned script in a webpage and changed the text-align of the marqueecontainer to center. In firefox, its wonderful, the stuff appears in the center of the div (as expected). In IE7 (sigh), however, this doesnt work. What it does is aligns the center of the div content with the right edge of the div and renders it there.

Just incase the explanation above is lacking:

    | some text | <- in firefox
    | some| <-in IE7
(where the pipes represent the edges of the div)

i'm not able to post the page URL but to see what i am talking about you can just edit a local copy of http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex2/cmarquee2.htm and add in the text-align:center CSS style.

Anyone know why this is happening?

    Thanks in advance,
    Anth

I never yet heard about text-align center having conflicts against the elements having absolute or relative positions.

It should work on your end, where did you place text-align:center;?
...Place it in the vmarquee div and not in the marqueecontainer div. This might what caused your problem.
