I want to utilize the Apache style directory listing but with more controls. My server doesn't want to fool with changing the settings on his server so I thought maybe there was some other way to display the file listing for a directory other than http://www.root.com/directory/

I would like for the file name to show, and be large enough to read all of it, and maybe for the Title or meta-tag in the file be displayed.

Is there anything like this available in javascript, DHTML, PHP, or any programming language?

Any help is appreciated.
