Default Fading Message Scroller affects menu when new message appears

    1) Script Title: Fading Message Scroller

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...fadescroll.htm

    3) Describe problem: When you have your mouse on a menu item the expands, such as Activities & Clubs and the expanded items are visible (Badn, Beta Bowl, Brain Bowl, etc.) and a message in the scroller changes to a new message, the menu items (Band, Beta Bowl, Brain Bowl, etc.) move to the top left of the screen.

I understand this type of message is not a top priority since it involves script conflicts, but if anyone has the chance to look at it and has any suggestions I would certainly appreciate it.

    Thank you,

What browser are you using? Using IE7 and FF2, I tried mousing over the vertical menu so the sub menu appears while waiting for the message in the Fading Scroller to change. When that happened, I see no oddity with the sub menu itself. Can you be more specific on the issue?

Sorry for the delay - visiting relatives on Spring Break with the kids.

I'm using IE 6.0. After the page loads, if you mouse over a section with sublinks (i.e. Athletics) and hold the mouse over one of those links (i.e. Cheerleading), when a new message loads in the scroller, the submenu pops to the top left corner of the screen.

    Here's the site: http://205.223.147.214/index.html

Below are links to 2 screenshots I just captured showing the effect:

They absolutely love this as their opening page, so getting it to work would be great. Any help fixing this is much appreciated.

    Thank you,

Problem solved. I'm using the MemoryTicker instead -http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...moryticker.htm - and all appears to be working just fine: http://205.223.147.214/index.html
