Ajax Ticker question

1) Ajax Ticker

3) I came up with this ticker idea for a friends website... The problem is if you go to the home page it only says intialiaing ticker and gives an erroricon on the status bar. But if you navigate to another page and then go back tp the home page, it works fine.
Any ideas on why it doesn't work off the bat and how to fix that?

Instead of:

var xmlfile="http://www.houseofmasks.bizland.com/tickercontent.txt"

Change that to just:

var xmlfile="tickercontent.txt"

The absolute reference fails whenever your site is viewed without the "www" in front of the URL.
